This hand carved bird is made in Kenya. Impoverished people in the Limuru area are taught wood carving, painting and business skills so they can have a livelihood. These birds can be kept outdoors!

Measures approximately 11-12" long x 5" wide.
Thread covered wire feet can be adjusted for standing properly.
Each one is made from jacaranda wood.
Handmade in Kenya.

Throughout the country, kids are born everyday into poverty and have no hope for a future. One of the keys to breaking the cycle of poverty is to educate the young people of Kenya, to give them a hope and help them reach their full potential.
